CGRG at Lee Hunter Elementary
BY: Schlitt Throat
Wednesday, May 20th, the Cape Girardeau Roller Girls showed off their stuff at the Lee Hunter Elementary School Talent Show in Sikeston, Missouri. Bruise Fairy, affectionately known as Mrs. R., the Pirate Counselor, along with the help of two teammates, Salty and Schlitt Throat, demonstrated the importance of safety gear, legal hitting zones, stops (hockey, powerslides, tomahawks) and donating to local charity. The biggest cheer received was when Salty jumped over Bruise Fairy. “The kids [grades1-4] had a great time! There was a sea of cheers like I had never heard before.” said Schlitt.
